Abhimanyu Khurana

Computer Science + Mathematics at UT Dallas

I build software, explore mathematical ideas, and test what works.

I'm pursuing a double degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. My work spans football tools, event-market research, and software that makes everyday workflows less manual.

Outside of code, I'm an avid Bears fan, video game lover, guitarist, and gardener. I also like getting my hands dirty with crafts and building things in the physical world when I'm away from the keyboard.

Experience

RADA

UT Dallas · Current

Undergraduate Researcher

Working on quantum Bayesian optimization (QBO), at the intersection of mathematics, optimization, and computing.

Securin

Jul. to Sep. 2024

Software Engineer Intern

Built an internal CVE tracking application with PostgreSQL, secure REST APIs, search and filtering, and remediation workflows. Containerized the application with Docker for handoff.

Selected projects

Working tools, experiments, and the things they produce.

GridironDEX

Build football plays, draw routes, and test them against simulated defenses. Includes 105 play concepts and full drives.

React, TypeScript, SVG Geometry, Playwright

Build a play, edit routes, and run a drive in the live interactive playbook.

Abhi's favorite

Socks Watch

Watch Socks, my leopard gecko, through live day and night cameras, with 15-second clips you can replay.

Python, FastAPI, FFmpeg, HLS.js

The enclosure schedule follows daylight.

Boggle Visual Solver

Enter a Boggle or Word Hunt board to find words and trace their paths through the letters.

HTML, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, Browser Demo

See the words it finds and the path each one takes through the board.

Warframe Arbitrage Market Scanner

Finds possible item flips on warframe.market, a third-party player marketplace for the video game Warframe. Compares buy and sell listings.

Node.js, Express, JavaScript

Compare prices, listing age, and the number of buyers before choosing a trade.

Current focus

Portfolio Utility Suite

Small command-line tools for checking Windows setups, reading logs, cleaning up repositories, and handling research or school tasks.

Python, Rust, PowerShell, C++, Go, C#, Java, Node.js

Run the tools from the command line, with documented inputs and outputs.

Settlement-Aware Bitcoin Event Market Research Engine

Tests Bitcoin event-market models on synthetic data. Fits the model on earlier periods, then checks its predictions on later periods.

Python, scikit-learn, Probability Calibration

Run the experiments on synthetic data and see how the models are evaluated.

Applied ML Signal Classifier

Trains a model to classify price moves as up, down, or neutral, then compares its predictions with simpler approaches.

Python, scikit-learn, pandas

See which predictions were right, which were wrong, and whether the model beats simpler baselines.

Context Constellation RAG

Ask questions about a folder of text or Markdown files and see which passages support the answer.

Python, Retrieval, Evaluation

Browse related passages and check how often the search finds the expected sources.

Cache Policy Analyzer

Simulates different ways to decide what to keep in a cache. Replays the same requests to compare cache hits, misses, and reloads.

C++, Cache Replacement Policies

Compare FIFO, LRU, and offline OPT in CSV, JSON, or Markdown reports.

Inspect a sample result

Bundled 36-access synthetic trace, capacity 3. This is a reproducible example, not a production benchmark.

Cache hits and misses on the same trace
PolicyHitsMisses
FIFO1620
LRU1818
Offline OPT2313

OPT sees future accesses and is only an offline comparison, not a deployable policy.

Event-Driven Personal Operations Platform

Connects my email, calendar, tasks, and notes. Keeps a history of the work and checks whether each action finished.

Python, APIs, SQLite, Browser Automation

See how incoming updates become tasks, calendar changes, and reply drafts.

A year of making things

GitHub activity ↗
A year of GitHub contributions as a star-map timeline Each point is one real date. Horizontal position is chronological, from older at the left to newer at the right. Filled point area is proportional to the contribution count; hollow markers mean zero. Vertical position is only for visual spacing, not a second metric. Use the date slider for exact dates and counts.
One point per day. Bigger means more activity. Hollow means zero contributions.
